I. The management of the environment (storage humidity-sensitive components of the environmental conditions)

General PCBA processing factory will develop a system for the control of temperature and humidity sensitive components, the workshop environment temperature should be controlled at 18 ℃ -28 ℃. In storage, the temperature should be controlled at 18℃-28℃ and relative humidity less than 10%. In order to maintain the temperature and humidity environment in the closed area of the factory, the space should not be left open or open for more than 5 minutes.

Material personnel every 4 hours to check the moisture-proof box temperature and humidity, and its temperature and humidity value registered in the “temperature and humidity control table”; if the temperature and humidity exceed the specified range, immediately notify the relevant personnel to improve, while taking appropriate remedial measures (such as placing desiccant, adjusting the room temperature or remove the components in the faulty moisture-proof box, into the qualified moisture-proof box)

II. The management of the process (humidity-sensitive components storage methods)

1. To prevent damage to components caused by static electricity, in the demolition of humidity-sensitive components vacuum packaging, the operator should first wear good static gloves, static hand ring, and then open the vacuum packaging on a well-protected desktop in static electricity. Check whether the temperature and humidity card changes of the components meet the requirements, and the components that meet the requirements can be labeled.

2. If you receive bulk humidity-sensitive components, be the first to confirm whether the components are qualified.

3. Check that the moisture-proof bag needs to be accompanied by desiccant, relative humidity card, etc.

4. Humidity sensitive components (IC) after unpacking the vacuum, back to the solder before the exposure time in the air shall not exceed the humidity sensitive components grade and life, must be strictly in accordance with the corresponding standards of the PCBA processing plant to operate.

5. storage of unopened components should be stored according to the requirements, for opened components need to be baked and put into moisture-proof bags and vacuum sealed before they can be stored.

6. For the unqualified components, give them to the quality control personnel to return to the warehouse.

III. Storage period of components

No more than 2 years from the date of production by the component manufacturer for inventory purposes.

After purchase, the entire factory user’s inventory time generally does not exceed 1 year: If the natural environment is relatively humid machine factory, after the purchase of components assembled to the surface, should be used within 3 months, and appropriate humidification – should be taken in the storage place and component packaging to prove measures.
