FAQ
Q1. Why can't YY1 recognize the fiducial marks?
If YY1 cannot recognize fiducial marks, check the following:
- The fiducial should be a high-contrast circular pad or hole.
- Avoid placing similar circular patterns near the fiducial, as they may confuse the vision system.
- Adjust the camera threshold if recognition remains unstable.
- Ensure the fiducial is not covered during PCB fixing.
Incorrect fiducial recognition may result in placement offsets across the entire PCB.
Q2. Why are all components shifted in the same direction?
A consistent placement offset across the entire PCB is usually caused by incorrect fiducial settings or PCB origin configuration. Verify that:
- Fiducials are correctly defined.
- PCB origin matches the coordinate system used in the placement file.
- PCB is firmly fixed before mounting.
Q3. Why does the machine fail to read my CSV placement file?
YY1 only supports CSV files in its required format.
Common causes include:
- Unsupported EDA export format
- Modified CSV structure
- Negative coordinate values
- Incorrect origin setting
- Invalid rotation values outside the supported range
If necessary, create a new standard YY1 CSV file using the machine's "Add New" function.
Q4. Why are some components not recognized correctly?
Recognition accuracy can be affected by:
- Incorrect recognition mode
- Oxidized or darkened component leads
- Strong ambient light
- Improper camera threshold
The manual recommends using newer components when possible and avoiding direct sunlight above the machine.
Q5. Why does the camera sometimes recognize the wrong object?
Objects with shapes similar to fiducials may be identified incorrectly.
Keep the area around fiducials clear of similar circular pads or holes and adjust the camera threshold if necessary.
